Our 2016 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby in color with a magenta rim. It has an enticing nose of cassis, blackberry, vanilla, sage and spearmint. Upon entry, this wine builds from potpourri and bramble to a bright pop of raspberry on the mid-palate. A juicy finish with chewy tannins and a medium length, it will provide drinking pleasure through 2042 with proper cellaring. 

Clean aromas of blackberry weave through more complex hints of black loam and light wood on the nose of this bottling. The palate is very firm in texture and very savory in flavors, combining peppercorn and hints of dried beef with riper fruit that grows just a touch tart by the finish. Brilliant, very dark ruby red color with beautiful purplish highlights. Powerful, rich and spicy bouquet of ripe red and black fruit (cherry, blackcurrant), as well as a touch of vanilla. The wine starts out very round on the palate. It is full-bodied, rich, powerful and in no way heavy. The tannins are quite smooth. The freshness and spiciness of the nose come through in the flavor. 

A vibrant mix of red and black fruit, showcasing aromas of raspberry, black cherry, and subtle plum. On the palate, it’s elegant and medium-bodied with refined tannins, layered with notes of dried herbs, graphite, and a hint of peppery spice. A gentle earthiness and fresh acidity carry through to a clean, structured finish, making it both expressive and food-friendly.
